One of Gozo’s best, the reef here is a gathering place for all sorts of pelagic fish, especially large Grouper and Dentex, some days it is just one amazing sight after another. The reef itself slopes down from the surface to about 16m and then drops vertically to about 40 m and then slopes quite steeply down to 50 - 60m before becoming a more gentle slope into the depths. It culminates in a point which is where you will most likely see the big pelagic fish, at about 30 -32m there is a handy little plateau where it is sometimes worth waiting and watching the passers by. The dive can be enjoyed at any depth from about 18m, but is best at the 25 - 30m mark.
