Crocodile Rock
Off of Dwejra is a rock which looks like a crocodiles head just breaking the surface. Although this dive may be done from the shore, access is tricky and it is a much better boat dive. We prefer not to anchor the boat for this dive but drop the divers out at the rock in about 16m and follow them along the reef. The wall is vertical down to 50m and is a gathering place for all sorts of pelagic life as well as some breathtaking scenery. The advantage of not anchoring the boat is that we can follow the divers and pick them up where they surface rather than covering a small area twice. The Dentex here can be huge as can the grouper, feeding jacks and shoals of Baracuda are also quite common here.
