Roy Davidson
Roy Davidson has been a diver for 35 years, diving in UK, Egypt, Africa, Cuba and Brazil. He first came to Gozo 15 years ago and has dived here regularly ever since. He is an S.A.A. and B.S.A.C. Open water Instructor, P.A.D.I. M.S.D.T. and EFR and Nitrox instructor. He holds RYA commercial Power boat, and Power Boat Instructor certificate. VHF DSC radio licence, Maltese Boat master 1, Commercial Operators Licence and has been driving RIB’s for 20 years in the UK. He now lives in Gozo and operates “Ocean Dreams” from Marsalforn, Xlendi and Mgarr harbours.
“ Ocean Dreams” a 6 metre X-Rib with a beam of 2.6m, purpose built and fully equipped for divers by Barnet Marine (Tornado) in the UK June 2004. Powered by a new 115 HP Mercury Optimax and a 4HP Mercury 4 Sail Auxiliary Engine, she is fully equipped with DSC Radio, Echo Sounder, and G.P.S. Chart plotter. Cylinder rack, 1400 litres of O2 and full safety gear in compliance with MMA code of practice. She has an MMA commercial vessel certificate, is fully insured for the purpose of conveying divers. including third party liability insurance of £3,000,000.
“Ocean Dreams” will carry up to 8 divers in comfort, however on longer journeys the skipper prefers a group of 6 - 7, there is also a boarding ladder to assist those less used to diving from rigid inflatable’s.
